In a deliberate minimalism (with touches of installation), Phương Lương evokes an inner world full of contradictions: solitary yet crowded, silent yet haunting, familiar yet alien, figurative yet surreal. The works do not narrate a specific story, but instead open up a series of questions: Who is watching whom? Are we the observers or the observed? Are we witnesses or the invisible?
“Strange Selves” is a visual fragment, not to reveal the outer world, but to mirror the inner one: fragile, drifting, and constantly questioning its own existence.
Maii Art Space is honored to present to art lovers the solo exhibition of Phương Lương, curated by artist Phan Trọng Văn, featuring a collection of 34 paintings and 1 installation.
