There are people who seem to travel a long, wide arc—almost as if crossing half a lifetime—only to return to the quietest place of all: their own inner self.
Lê Hải Triều is one of those people. And at a certain moment, one slows down, turns inward, and listens more deeply. White Clouds, his latest series, marks this shift with remarkable clarity. Triều no longer relies on bold palettes, nor does he feel the need to showcase technique as a form of mastery.
He paints as if releasing—releasing the burden of the self that once had to strive. The ascetic figures in his works move through life lightly, like clouds. They do not claim space, do not assert presence. They simply move… gently, quietly, with a serenity that feels almost weightless.
